About Sena Sert Şekercı
Assoc. Prof. Sena Sert Şekercı is a cardiologist with a strong focus on pulmonary vascular disease, right ventricular function, and adult congenital heart disease. She earned her associate professorship in 2023 at M.D. Siyami Ersek Chest, Heart and Vascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul. In 2024 she joined Acibadem Health Group, where she continues clinical practice and research. She is active in national and international professional communities. Memberships include the Turkish Cardiology Society’s Pulmonary Vascular Diseases and Adult Congenital Heart Disease section, the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), the Working Group on Heart Failure at the European Society of Cardiology, and the Heart Imagers of Tomorrow Association (HIT). She was also elected as a nucleus member of the ESC Working Group on Pulmonary Circulation and Right Ventricular Function. Her work bridges advanced cardiac imaging and pulmonary circulation, with a commitment to improving care for patients with complex cardiopulmonary conditions through clinical excellence, education, and collaborative research.
