About Özlem Sönmez
Prof. Özlem Sönmez is a medical oncologist and professor at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Faculty of Medicine. She was awarded her professorship in 2022 and has broad clinical and academic experience in her field. Since 2020, she has been part of Acıbadem Health Group, where she is involved in patient care, teaching, and ongoing oncology research.
She is also active in the international oncology community and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the European School of Oncology (ESO), and the Turkish Medical Association’s Istanbul Medical Chamber. Her work centers on evidence-based cancer care and training future physicians.
