About Metin Ertem
Prof. Metin Ertem is a general surgeon who graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine in 1991. He has been affiliated with Acibadem Health Group since 2004, where he has provided advanced surgical care with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques.
He plays an active role in the surgical community through leadership and membership positions. He is President of the Hernia Association and has served as President of the Turkish Cancer Foundation. He was the 2nd President of the National Endoscopic-Laparoscopic Surgery Association and is a board member of the Istanbul Surgical Association. He is also a member of the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery, the International Society of Surgery, and the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
