About Cihan Uras
Prof. Cihan Uras is a Professor of General Surgery who graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1996. As of 2025, he is affiliated with Acıbadem Health Group. His clinical work centers on breast and endocrine surgery, and he has substantial surgical experience in these fields.
He has also taken on leadership roles in professional organizations, serving as President of the Society of Breast Science (Seniology) from 2009 to 2011. He is a member of the Istanbul Medical Chamber, Endocrine Surgery Society, Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery Association, American Society of Breast Disease, National Hernia Society, The Turkish Society of Menopause and Osteoporosis, Turkish Surgical Association, and Istanbul Surgical Association. Professor Uras is involved in promoting surgical education, multidisciplinary care in breast disease, and the development of surgical practice.
