About Bilgi Baca
Prof. Bilgi Baca is a general surgeon with a substantial clinical and academic background. She completed her medical degree and her specialty training in General Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, and she was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2009. Since 2014, she has been affiliated with Acibadem Health Group, where she has taken part in patient care, surgical practice, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Her areas of experience include colorectal, hepatopancreatobiliary, hernia, and minimally invasive (endoscopic-laparoscopic) surgery, as well as trauma and emergency surgical care. She is also involved in both international and national surgical organizations, including the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists, the European Society of Coloproctology, the Turkish Surgical Association, the Turkish Colon and Rectum Society, the National Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery, the National Endoscopic-Laparoscopic Surgery Society, the Turkish Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Association, and the Hernia Association.
