About Ahmet Alponat
Prof. Ahmet Alponat is a General Surgery specialist with a medical degree from Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine. He advanced in academia and was appointed professor in 2003. Since 2008, he has been affiliated with Acibadem Health Group, where he continues to work in both clinical practice and teaching.
His main clinical interests are endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery, especially hernia surgery and oncologic procedures. He is a member of the National Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery Society, the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery Association of Turkey, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia, the National Surgical Association, and the Hernia Association. He also contributes to the Kocaeli Surgical Association, Kocaeli Medical Chamber, and Kocaeli Cancer Association.
