Despite these advancements, challenges remain. Small or difficult-to-access tumors may still result in inconclusive biopsies, leading to a need for repeat procedures or even surgical biopsies. Nonetheless, the overall success rate for diagnosing lung cancer has improved considerably over the past decade, with many centers reporting diagnostic accuracy rates exceeding 85-90% when combining imaging, sampling, and molecular testing.

In terms of prognosis, earlier diagnosis generally correlates with higher success rates in treatment and survival. Therefore, continued research into improving screening methods, biopsy techniques, and molecular diagnostics remains a priority. Public awareness campaigns emphasizing risk factors and the importance of early screening also play a critical role in enhancing diagnosis success rates.
