Cancer’s inherent heterogeneity means that some tumors develop resistance to treatments, necessitating combination therapies and ongoing research to stay ahead of the disease’s evolving nature. Nevertheless, the cumulative progress in understanding cancer’s biology and harnessing cutting-edge technology suggests that a universal “cure” might be within reach someday, transforming cancer from a fatal diagnosis to a manageable or even curable disease.

Overall, the landscape of cancer research is rapidly evolving, fueled by technological innovation and a deeper understanding of tumor biology.
