About Necmettin Pamir
Prof. Necmettin Pamir is a neurosurgeon with a long career in academic medicine and clinical practice. He received his professorship in Neurosurgery from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 1991 and has remained active in neurosurgical care and education for many years. Since 2022, he has been affiliated with Acibadem Health Group, where he continues to contribute his surgical experience and leadership.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Gamma Knife Association, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the Japan Neurosurgical Society as a guest member, the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS), the European Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgical Society, and the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS). He also belongs to the Society for Nervous System Surgery, the Turkish Neurosurgical Society, the Turkish Electron Microscopy Society, the Turkish Hematology Association, the Association for the Fight against Epilepsy, the International Medical Paraplegia Association, Academia Euroasiana Neurochirurgica, and the Agri Association. He was the first Turkish neurosurgeon elected president of the World Academy of Neurological Surgery.
