About Fuat Demirci
Prof. Fuat Demirci is a board-certified gynecologic oncologic surgeon with extensive clinical, academic, and leadership experience. He completed his Board of Medical Specialization in Gynecologic Oncology Surgery in 2011 and has been a senior clinician with Acibadem Health Group since 2006. He has held numerous leadership roles in national and international professional organizations, including member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Gynecology and Obstetrics Association (TJOD, 2012–2016) and earlier service on TJOD’s headquarters board (2004–2010). He served as President, Founding Secretary General, and Board Member of the Turkish Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Association since its founding in 1997. He has also been an advisory board member for the Federation of International Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) and for the Mediterranean Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Society (MIPS). His professional memberships span major specialty societies: International Continence Society (ICS), European Society of Gynecological Oncology (ESGO), International Urogynecological Association (IUGA), Gynecologic Endoscopy Society, Society of European Robotic Gynecologic Surgery (SERGS), European Society of Endoscopic Surgery (ESGE), and the Gynecologic Oncology Society. Prof. Demirci combines surgical expertise in gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery, and endoscopic and robotic techniques with active engagement in professional education, guideline development, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
