About Umut Akgün
Prof. Umut Akgün is an orthopaedic surgeon and researcher specializing in sports injuries, arthroscopy, and knee, shoulder, and elbow surgery. He completed his PhD in Movement and Training Sciences in 2022 and currently practices with Acibadem Health Group. He is an active member of multiple professional societies, including the Turkish Sports Injury Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Association, the Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Association, the European Society of Sports Traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (SECEC / ESSSE), and the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association.
