Prof. Dr. Özlem Aydın

Prof. Özlem Aydın is a board-certified clinical cytologist and pathologist with extensive experience in diagnostic cytology and academic medicine. She completed advanced training at Karolinska University Hospital’s Department of Clinical Cytology in 2005 and has since combined clinical practice, teaching, and research. Since 2021 she has been affiliated with Acıbadem Health Group, where she contributes to high-quality diagnostic services and multidisciplinary patient care. Her work focuses on accurate cytologic diagnosis, quality assurance in the laboratory, and mentoring residents and fellows. Prof. Aydın is an active member of leading professional organizations, including the International Academy of Cytology, the Cytopathology Society, the Turkish Pathology Association, the Ankara Pathology Association, and the Turkish Cancer Research and Fighting Organization. Her professional interests include cytopathology, cancer diagnostics, and efforts to advance pathology practice through collaboration and education.
