About Javad Parvizi
Prof. Javad Parvizi is an orthopedic surgeon and researcher known for his work in joint reconstruction and musculoskeletal infection. He earned his Master of Orthopedics (MS) from the Mayo Foundation, Rochester, between 1997 and 1999. He is currently affiliated with Acibadem Health Group (2024) and serves as Chairman of the Board at Parvizi Surgical Innovation.
He has held board and leadership positions in several organizations, including the Musculoskeletal Infection Society (MSIS), Eastern Orthopedic Association, Orthopedic Overseas, and the Muller Foundation of North America. Within MSIS, he has served as both board member and president. He is also a member or honorary member of numerous societies, including The European Hip Society, The Hip Society, The International Hip Society, The Knee Society, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Orthopedic Research Society (ORS), as well as several national orthopedic societies and the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation.
