About Gülcihan Özkan
Prof. Gülcihan Özkan is a pulmonologist and academic whose work centers on respiratory medicine and lung cancer. She received the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and has combined clinical practice with research and professional leadership throughout her career. Since 2017, she has been affiliated with Acibadem Health Group, where she provides patient care, mentors junior clinicians, and takes part in multidisciplinary teams.
She is a member of the Lung Cancer Research Association, the Turkish Thoracic Society, the Respiratory Research Society of Turkey, and the European Respiratory Society. Through these roles, she contributes to lung disease research, the development of best practices in thoracic medicine, and international collaboration. Her work is characterized by a patient-centered approach, evidence-based practice, and a continued commitment to education and research in respiratory health.
