About Cemal Üstün

Prof. Cemal Üstün is a professor of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology with extensive clinical and academic experience in infection management and control. He completed his specialist training at Private Acıbadem Bakırköy Hospital in 2019. From 2016 to 2019, he worked at Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine, Atakent Hospital, where he focused on infection prevention in high-risk patient groups, including adult bone marrow transplant recipients.

His main areas of work include antimicrobial stewardship, prevention and control of hospital-acquired infections, and the management of febrile neutropenia. He is a member of several professional societies, including KLIMIK, THIKD, ANKEM, EKMUD, VHSD, FND, DAS, and THD. He brings specialized experience in preventing and managing infections in immunocompromised patients and in supporting hospital infection control programs.
