About Burak Akan
Prof. Burak Akan is an Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology specialist based in Ankara. He completed his medical education at Ufuk University Faculty of Medicine and was appointed Professor of Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2019. He currently practices at Acibadem Health Group, where he provides ongoing clinical care to patients.
Prof. Akan is a member of several professional organizations, including the Ankara Medical Chamber, the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association (TOTBID) and its Sports Traumatology Branch, the International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SICOT), and the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Education and Research Council (TOTEK). His interests include sports injuries, arthroscopy, knee surgery, and joint arthroplasty.
