About Barış Kocaoğlu
Prof. Barış Kocaoğlu is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with experience in clinical practice, teaching, and sports team medicine. He completed the 2019 ESSKA-AOSSM Traveling Fellowship as part of his advanced training. From 2008 to 2013, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine, where he taught and mentored medical students and trainees alongside his clinical responsibilities.
He is a member of ESSKA, KSSTA, and the Hip Arthroscopy and Preventive Joint Surgery Association, and he is also a member of ELPA (Euroleague Player Association). In Turkey, he serves on the Turkish Basketball Federation medical board and is the team doctor for the men’s national basketball team. His practice includes orthopedic care for athletes, hip arthroscopy, and preventive joint surgery.
