About the Colorado Run Walk to Fight Lymphedema
Lymphatic diseases affect millions, yet awareness remains limited. These conditions disrupt the lymphatic system, leading to swelling, pain, and other complications. For patients, daily life can become a challenge, impacting mobility and emotional well-being.
LE&RN has been at the forefront of advocacy and education. In 2016, they collaborated with the AMA to improve physician training on lymphatic diseases. This effort ensures better care for patients and advances understanding of these complex conditions.
Patient stories inspire action. Take Karson Bluette, a 10-year-old who raised $90 through a lemonade stand to support research. Her dedication shows how even small efforts can make a big difference. Similarly, events like the symbolic balloon release in Wisconsin honor those affected and raise awareness.
Secondary conditions, such as those caused by cancer treatments, are also a focus. LE&RN works to educate the public about these connections and fund research for better treatments. Their initiatives bring hope to patients and their families.
By joining this movement, you become part of a team dedicated to change. Together, we can support research, improve care, and enhance the quality of life for those living with lymphatic diseases. Colorado Run Walk to Fight Lymphedema: Event Information
