Early detection of liver cancer is critical as it opens up more treatment options and improves survival rates. Surveillance strategies, especially for high-risk individuals such as those with cirrhosis or chronic hepatitis infections, include regular ultrasounds and AFP testing every six months. This proactive approach can lead to the identification of tumors at a stage when curative treatments like surgical resection, liver transplantation, or localized therapies are possible.
